And we finally managed to get together for the first Men's Cooking Night of the 2011!
The arrival of Georgina in December and busy lives of all of us meant we couldn't set an earlier date.
As usual we had a great night, the chefs are getting more and more sophisticated and time passes really quickly.
I'll upload photos soon. Hopefully I will have a chance to add the menu too :-)
Men's cooking night
Four couples, great friendship, laughter and humor! Men cook, girls laugh! How it works: Four tasks - starter, main, pudding, surprise. The hosts are the couple preparing the main, the others share the remaining tasks. We rotate four times a year so each man has a go at each task. Try to believe it!

Welcome to our blog
Men's cooking night has been a wonderful experience of four couples of friends who over the past 10 years found the time to get together at least four times a year to share a meal!
But not a "normal" meal, but a meal with rules that all girls must love:
1) Men are cooking, girls are chatting and laughing! Well... girls also risk a bit because they don't have a clue of what is going to hit them over dinner :-)
2) The man who is preparing the main course hosts the party.
3) The other three have to prepare a starter, a pudding and a surprise. Watch out for a recount of the surprises we had to put up with!
4) The "one-night" chefs rotate what they are going to do, so every year each couple hosts once.
5) Make time for it! We can assure you that when we were "young" with no children it was easy to find the time, but we persevered and despite pregnancies, work commitments, changes of homes,... we managed to keep going for over 10 years!!!
It's good fun, but there is nothing better than trying it yourself!
